More affordable software development with an equity partner 0
Many people these days are looking to start a new business or expand their existing business through improved software technology but often times are finding this cost prohibitive.
If you are anything like me you have no problem asking your developer friend, brother in law or former colleague to do some light development tasks in exchange for equity in a company. This practice has produced many many millionaires and will continue to do so as long as entrepreneurs need developers to get their projects off the ground.
As a for-hire development firm we’ve historically avoided this type of arrangement because, unlike your developer friend, we have bills to pay, payroll, electric, water, rent, etc. that has historically prohibited this type of arrangement. This doesn’t mean that people don’t ask, we’ve been presented with some brilliant business plans over the years and have passed up on what could have been 10′s of millions of dollars.
Well, we are looking to rectify that situation in 2010. If you have an idea for a new piece of software, be it a website, a portal, an iPhone application, iPad application, mobile piece of software or whatever then give us a call. If we believe in your project as much as you we can work out a plan to do your development for a significantly reduced cost.
Please just remember if you are approaching us for this type of arrangement you are seeking a project “partner” we will reduce development costs in exchange for equity but we expect you to have some “skin in the game” as well.
If you have an idea please call or email us to discuss, we’d love to talk through everything and see what we can work out.
Looking forward to working with you.
